These terms cover your use of Actual Footy — the website at actualfooty.com, the app, and the intelligence, reports and tools we provide. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Actual Footy.

1What Actual Footy is

Actual Footy is a sports-intelligence service. It explains what has happened on the field — what a player or club has produced, earned and demonstrated — measured against the field. It is diagnostic and informational.

2Your account

• Give accurate details when you sign up, and keep your password to yourself.
• You're responsible for activity under your account. Tell us (via the contact page) if you think someone else has accessed it.
• One account is for one person. Don't share logins or resell access.
• You must be old enough to enter a binding agreement in your country to hold an account.

3Membership & billing

• New accounts get a free all-access pass for 24 hours — no card required.
• Paid memberships are billed as a recurring subscription (monthly unless stated otherwise) through our payment provider, Stripe. We don't see or store your full card number.
• You can cancel anytime; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current paid period. We don't provide pro-rata refunds for a period already started unless the law requires it.
• Prices can change. We'll give notice before a change affects you, and you can cancel if you don't want to continue.
• Contribution rewards. We sometimes thank members who add verified data — for example, telling us which boots a player wears, or where they played their junior football — with a free week of access. Free weeks are a discretionary thank-you, subject to a reasonable limit per member over a rolling period: we may grant, decline, or withhold a reward, and won't reward bulk, low-effort, or duplicate submissions. A free week only ever extends your access window — it never shortens or changes a paid subscription.
• Claiming a player profile. If you are a player, you can ask us to verify your own profile by submitting evidence that it's you. Only claim a profile that is genuinely yours — impersonating another person, or submitting false or misleading evidence, is prohibited and will result in removal of the claim and may end your access. We review every claim manually, verify at our discretion, and delete the evidence you upload once the claim is resolved.
• Photos you post. Once your profile is verified, you can add photos of yourself to it. Only upload photos that are yours to share and appropriate for a general audience — no photos of other people without their consent, and nothing offensive, misleading or unlawful. By uploading, you confirm you have the right to the image and grant us a licence to display it on your profile to members. Every photo is checked automatically and reviewed by our team before it appears; we may decline or remove any photo at any time, and images that fail the automated check are deleted.

4Acceptable use

Please don't: scrape, bulk-download or systematically copy the intelligence; resell, redistribute or publish it as your own; reverse-engineer or interfere with the service; or use it to break the law or infringe anyone's rights.

5The intelligence is provided "as is"

We work hard to be accurate, but Actual Footy is provided without warranties of any kind. Data can be incomplete or delayed, and models have limits — where a read can't be responsibly produced we say so rather than guess. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for losses arising from your use of, or reliance on, the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.

6Our content

The intelligence, reports, visualisations, designs, brand and software are owned by Actual Footy / Actual Sport Intelligence and protected by law. Your membership is a personal licence to use them — it doesn't transfer ownership. Club names, crests and competition marks belong to their owners and are used to help you recognise them.

7Ending access

You can close your account anytime via the contact page. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken or to protect the service or other members.

8Changes

We may update these terms as the service evolves. We'll post the new version here with a fresh "last updated" date; continuing to use Actual Footy after a change means you accept it.
